Geneva Healthcare is recruiting for a Clinical Team Leader to lead our dedicated team of rehabilitation professionals in the Gisborne & Hawkes Bay region. This role includes providing leadership and management to ensure high quality service delivery.

The Clinical Team leader is primarily responsible for maintaining the day to day oversight and implementation of all Geneva Healthcare Wellness and Rehabilitaion services across regions. This will include providing leadership and management to ensure the rehabilitation teams are delivering high quality and responsive services.

About the Role | He kōrero whakamārama mō tēnei tūranga
This is a highly diverse role where no two days will be the same. As the Clinical Team leader, you will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day oversight and implementation of all Wellness and Rehab services in the Gisborne and Hawkes Bay. You’ll be someone who thrives in a people-focused role, not only delivering positive health outcomes to clients but also engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to help the business grow and develop. This role would suit a registered health aligned professional with the right experience.

Responsibilities include:
  • Manage clinical staff performance and achievements under various contracts and services
  • Maintain oversight of the delivery of services according to contract specifications
  • Recognize individual team members clinical interests and facilitate movement through relevant credentialing i.e. HCSS to Rehab; Housing/Wheelchair and Seating assessor named provider progression
  • Ensure team delivers to contract requirements, including delivery timeframes and communication and clinical standards
  • Maintaining oversight and adherence to Geneva’s equity strategy and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi

What You Will Bring | Ngā tohungatanga mō tēnei tūranga
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a clinical leadership position or relevant clinical experience looking to develop into a leadership role.
  • Experience as either a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist.
  • Current NZ recognised qualification and registration in your field of work.
  • Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, including understanding of Maori and Pacific models of Health.
  • Proven depth of experience and expertise in a wide range of areas under the relevant scope of practice
  • A high level of knowledge and experience of Health Legislation and NZ health funding systems
  • Proven ability to negotiate to achieve the best outcomes for our clients and staff
  • Excellent communication and report writing ability
  • Knowledge of quality systems, complaints and incident management
  • Strong and effective relationships with colleagues and other health service providers
