We're seeking a dedicated Registered Social Worker to join our team as an independent contractor. This is a great role for someone who is looking for flexible hours & interested in working across a variety of portfolios in the Manawatu region.

About the Role | He kōrero whakamārama mō tēnei tūranga
You will be working autonomously and as part of a wider multidisciplinary team, within a best practice, person and family/whanau centred approach to assessment and rehabilitation.

As a community-based Social Worker, you will have a real passion and dedication to all aspects of service delivery and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with your clients and their families. You will work with a wide range of people with illness, injury or disabilities, providing assessment and rehabilitation programmes within their home, work or community settings. 

What you will bring | Ngā tohungatanga mō tēnei tūranga
To be successful in this role, we are looking for the following requirements: 

  • NZ Registration as a Social Worker
  • Association membership or equivalent
  • Proven NZ post graduate experience of 2 years of more
  • Experience in delivering community based interventions
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in private practice and healthcare
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Understanding of and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Clean Full NZ Drivers Licence with access to a reliable vehicle
  • Proficient computer and IT knowledge
