Vessel Loader/Unloader

We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Vessel Loaders/Unloaders for the upcoming Hoki season in Nelson. As a Vessel Loader/Unloader, you will play a crucial role in the efficient and safe loading and unloading of fishing vessels, ensuring the smooth flow of operations in our busy seafood processing facility.


Responsibilities:

• Safely load and unload fishing vessels, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
• Assist in securing cargo, ensuring proper balance and distribution for safe transportation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the loading and unloading areas.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and ensure timely vessel turnaround.
• Follow all health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Adhere to quality control procedures, ensuring the integrity of the products being loaded or unloaded.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members to coordinate tasks and resolve any issues that may arise.
